AN OPEN LETTER TO AUSTRALIAN FILM COLLECTORS

As the curator of the forthcoming Sydney Cinematech, I am sending out an open
call to collectors to have their films presented at the new season of cinematech
beginning August at the Chauvel Cinema in Sydney.

The Chauvel is reopening after its closure last year and will present an exciting
line-up of new release arthouse films, film festivals and other special events, as
well as a twice-weekly cinematech program.

I am writing here to cast a net for interesting films on 16mm and 35mm in the
hands of Australian collectors that they may wish to screen at the cinematech.
The idea behind the cinematech is to screen films that cannot be seen elsewhere
from all eras, all genres and all nations - from home movies to Hollywood
classics.
