Reel Deals Increase

Thank you to all those who took the time to contact me, or included comments with
their subscription renewal. I appreciate the comments and your support in accepting
the increase in the subscription rate for RD. In particular, those who paid the higher
rate when renewing last month - your generosity is appreciated.

There is still time to pay at the old rate - the new rates come into effect from the first of
July, so its still officially $15.00 per year until then.

I am hopeful that the finances will permit the occasional splash of color when its use
would enhance an article or report.

I know the last edition was a bit on the skinny side - there were a number of factors that
worked against me at the time.
Firstly, of course, I can only print the ads that are received - they were well down last
edition. Due to the first full weekend falling on the first of the month, the close off for
ads was somewhat earlier that has been the case for quite some time, this may have
been a factor.

The other ‘problem’ was that I changed to a new computer program for the production.
I am now using PagePlus, which has a lot of nice features - including automatic page
numbering. Of course as with any new computer program, no matter how much you
practice using it beforehand, producing a full magazine is a different matter.
There were of course numerous occasions when it was necessary to refer to the
instruction manual. Hopefully the glitches will be fewer this time round.
