mm sound projector was made to a price
and aimed at the ‘economy end’ of the
home sound movie market.
But the ‘economy design’ meant that the
machine had a number of shortcomings.
The first can be seen in the film path image
(below) - the tortuous route which the film
is made to travel. That near 180 degree
loop just before the common feed / take up
sprocket was not real kind to film.
The amplifier was poorly designed, with
little ventilation, so overheating issues
were common - especially when used here
as opposed to the generally lower temper-
