Letter to the Editor
Dear Mike,
I write in hope that you, or one of your readers, may be able to identify a black & white
film that I saw in the 1950s. I have failed to find it on the Internet.
All I can remember of it was a chase, either on the docks or in a timber yard, involving cars and
timber trolleys . The latter were very tall vehicles, with wheels at the end of four long thin
stilt-like legs. By memory, amongst other recklessnesses, the cars drove between the legs, and
at least once a trolley picked up a car as though it were a pallet of timber. It was very memorable.
I don t even know the proper name of the trolleys.
Any help will be appreciated.
Cheers,
Peter Adamson
