120 years ago: Lumiere at North Adelaide Institute
In the Queen's Jubilee Week in 1897, Wybert Reeve gave his 30-item show on
his Lumiere camera-projector at the YMCA Victoria Hall, Adelaide, under
Vice-Regal Patronage, then took the show to the suburbs.
On Friday 30 June 2017, a tribute to Lumiere and Reeve will
be shown in the very same North Adelaide Institute hall.
Some typical Lumiere "views" plus some rare Frank Hurley in SA outback 1935
(thanks to Kev Franzi of Cameraworks Qld), plus documentary on the Perry lime-
lighters, plus a fresh episode of The Hazards of Helen (J.P. McGowan,1915).
