Dear Mike,

I enjoyed your '100 editions' article in the March edition. Apart from the work
that you put into the collation, printing and distribution of the magazine it has
done much for the collection of film by private owners, which I think will be a
major boon in years to come, particularly as official 'repositories' such as the
NFSA suffer from the thousand cuts and its staff through effluxation of time
have no knowledge of film projection and the makes of gear that it was run on.
Government agencies are making it harder for citizens to access their holdings.

Probably I live in the past a bit so far as my preference for gear is concerned, but
having 35 mm projectors nearly 90 years old still running means a lot and having
the film to run makes the enjoyment complete.

If there is no immediate offer to take up the baton I have no objections at all if
you take the opportunity to travel and miss some editions.
