While it is probable that it will never be necessary to thread
Lhe Model B Kodascope by hand, every user of the Kodascope
should familiarize himself with threading in this marwer. The
directions below are given in case the self-threading device should
fail to operate, or when it is desirable to thread or unthread the
Kodascope with a portion of the film on the take-up reel. Direc-
t ions for using the self-threading device are given on page 19.

Threading by Hand

Place the empty take-up reel 13 on the take-up spindle 14, as
Hhown in Fig. 3. Push in the take-up reel until the spring on the
Hpindle snaps into position. This spring keeps the reel from slip-
ping off the spindle.
