There has been quite a lot of interest in the new feature “Australian Made” which this
page introduced in the last edition. All those who commented thought the idea of
documenting ‘home grown’ ciné equipment was a worthwhile venture – however, only
one offering eventuated.

I would like to thank Phil Hunter for the pictures of a (what I believe to be) rare
Cinevox 8mm projector.

So please have a look at what you have hidden away and if it bears a ‘Made in
Australia’ label, how about a few pictures and a few words about it for the next edition.
And don’t forget there were many manufacturers of accessories here; they are just as
important to record as the more ambitious offerings.

A few of the manufacturers that produced equipment for the home movie user that come
to mind include Harmour & Heath, Cinevox, Eason, Waterworth, Miller, and no doubt
lots of others.
