Perspecta was an early three channel optical “stereo” sound system. It used three sub-
audible tones to direct the sound to left, centre or right speakers - for a full description, see

It was used in the 1950s, and was common in many of the VistaVision releases. It was also
used in a number of Tom & Jerry and other cartoons (especially the ‘Scope releases).
