REEL DEALS POLICIES

ADVERTISING:
Most of us know what shape a cinema screen. In printing terms it is called ‘landscape’ format. Advertisements
submitted in that format have to be either reduced in size or printed sideways. Either of these formats are
not ideal - so its up to you to ensure your ad will fit an A5 page in ‘portrait’ format to retain best readability.
Also take into account a 10 mm border is required by the printer.

Don’t forget your contact details – the minimum requirement is your phone number including the area code
AND your city. But why not make it a friendly experience to contact YOU – make sure you include at least
your first name and your location.
SUBSCRIBERS ARE ENTITLED TO ONE FREE PAGE OF ADVERTISING PER EDITION -
ADDITIONAL PAGES $10.00

REPEAT ADS:
The RD policy is that all ads are submitted with the understanding that they will run in the next
edition ONLY. If you want to re-run your ad, it’s up to YOU to resubmit it, but remember, RD is
a subscription magazine and is read by pretty much the same people each edition. Repeating
the same ad edition after edition may produce disappointing results. A fresh advertisement will
attract more eyes!

Production & Distribution:
For the 20+ years RD has been in published, production and distribution has been much the same.
Being a hobby magazine, it’s assembled over the first FULL WEEKEND of the month – it then goes
to the printer – usually comes back Wednesday, is wrapped for mailing and posted on the Friday.
Delivery is then up to Australia Post! And, as has been announced recently, APO have increased
their stated delivery times.

Please take into account the above before ringing to see why you have not received your copy –
and remember, the above schedule means that you will NEVER receive RD before the second week
of the month.
