Whether you call them “What the Butler Saw Machines” or by the generic trade name
“Mutoscope” these type of peep-hole machines are rare. But to find one that utilises
9.5 mm film, running as an endless loop, it ultra rare.
The pictures show the “works”, which seem to comprise a Pathé KID 9.5 mm projector,
driven by a geared motor. The film is housed in an endless look device, which is
probably the same unit as those supplied to dealers by Pathé for window demonstra-
tions of their projectors.
This machine was listed on eBay France.
