A good look at the two machines will show a few differences. Note the location
of the motor on each machine, the Compacta has the motor at the rear, and
where the motor is mounted on the Heavy Duty model, the operation switch
panel is located. Note also that the under body of the machines are quite
different, the Compacta has a much smaller bottom section, reducing its height
and slightly reducing its weight.
Curiously, the Compacta has a larger lamp
house and flywheel.
Both machines are inoperable, and I see no
reason to restore them at present, so their
operational capabilities remain unknown to
me.
The Compacta shown below is minus the
lower half of its its carry case. Which it
usually sits in - the borers get to it before I
did!
