After almost two years of various levels of lock down due to this terrible
virus, it is great to see some collectors’ events starting to reappear.

The Australian Photographic Collectors’ Society’s markets in both
Melbourne and Adelaide have returned, as well as their regular
meetings.

The main get-together for Reel Deals readers and of course members of
the Cinema and Theatre Historical Society (CATHS) is the Sunday
Collectors’ Fair and Auction.

This year it will be on Sunday 15 May, starting at 9.00. (See full page ad
in this edition). Remember, although the fair is run by CATHS, it is open
to all collectors and interested persons to both buy and sell, or just
come a long and have a coffee and a chat with people with similar
interests.

This edition contains another great article by Kev Franzi. This time it’s
part one of a two part article covering the very early days on motion
pictures, and it introduces us to Queensland's Pioneer Film Maker,
Frederick Wills. Part two next issue.
