One of the range of compact, cartridge loading Ciné Kodak cameras
released in the 1940s.
Although this article has concentrated on Kodak made equipment –many other
manufacturers produced 16mm products. Companies such as Bolex, Bell & Howell,
Victor, Keystone, et al were prolific makers of some very fine equipment for the gauge.
(*) Generally referred to as the Model A, although not officially designated as such by
Kodak until the model B appeared on the market.
