Re-position the switches
All the switches/controls had to be re-positioned in order order to accommodate the
ballast. Fortunately, they can be re-positioned to un-used holes in the lamp house.
Motor variable speed

SCR (Silicon Controlled Rectifier)
An SCR control is a handy way for a running 110
volt motor off a 230 volt supply and is used by many
a hobbyist. In order to not over-volt the motor, a
resistor could be placed in the parallel with the
potentiometer. The Specto has a special winding in
the dropper resistor to achieve this.
