FILM CREW AT THE CINEPIX

I had a visit from a film crew a couple of months ago. They wanted the use of a cinema
setting for a documentary film they were making, and they were unable to find a
main-stream cinema that was available for a whole day.

The group from the Swinburne School of Film and Television were making a docu-
mentary on the life of the Australian documentary film maker Charles Herschell.
Herschell Films was a prolific producer of documentaries from the 1920s to the
1970s, and were the Australian distributors of Pathé 28 mm films and equipment.
