Dear Mike
I was particularly interested in the recent articles on the Harmour & Heath projector. In the mid
nineteen eighties 1 acquired separately, two H&H. One was a Compacta and the other a Heavy
Duty. I gave both regular use, but in 1989 I bought two new Bell & Howell 1695s. I used these
in preference to the H&Hs. The screen results and sound from the B&Hs were a lot better. I still
have all these units, now unused.
My recollection of the Harmours was that I regularly blew 110 volt projection lamps, and that
the exciter light housing used to get very hot.

DEATH OF SUBSCRIBER
It is with great sadness that we report the death of long time subscriber
MIKE KENNEDY of Adelaide. Mike was a keen collector and
exhibitor of film and only recently, he had purchased more film from
the last edition of RD to add to his library.
Mike was known to many RD subscribers and was always a delight to
have a phone discussion with. Sincere condolences to his family from
Barb and Mike.
Because of the COVID-19 restrictions, only a small funeral was able
to be held, however his funeral was seen by many of his friends via
Zoom.
