WANTED
Any information which would help me track down a 16 mm copy of the Stan
Laurel silent comedy COLLARS AND CUFFS (1923). Copies of this film were
originally available to hire from the now long defunct Kodascope Library.
I'd love to get a copy of this film and to be able to get it restored. It has been
suggested to me that there may be a collector in Australia with a copy.
I would also be happy to buy a good, complete copy if there's one out there,
or pay to borrow/hire a copy with the intention of getting a new print run
off.

An extract from Kevin Brownlow’s 1968 book,
THE PARADE’S GONE BY
I never thought my films were important. I never
did anything to save them. Frankly, I didn't want
to be compared to the modern trend.
When the Hollywood Museum started, I tried to
help but I found the tins of films were full of red
dust. Then we had two fires, one in our office
building, another in the stores.
Private collectors won't give up the pictures of mine, and they know they are
bootlegged. But it's just as well, otherwise they'd be gone.
