his exploits as he comes up against some shady characters attempting to
build a chemical plant in an Irish village. Film has a few scratches at start.

CHEERS FOR MISS BISHOP - 1941 – B/W - Drama film based on the
novel Miss Bishop by Bess Streeter Aldrich. It was
directed by Tay Garnett and stars Martha Scott in the
title role. The other cast members include William Gargan, Edmund Gwenn,
Sterling Holloway, Dorothy Peterson, Marsha Hunt, Don Douglas, and Sid-
ney Blackmer. This film marked the debut of Rosemary DeCamp. Cheers for
Miss Bishop was produced by Richard A. Rowland and released through
United Artists. Very slight buckle but projects well. $30.00
CASANOVA’S BIG NIGHT - 1954 American comedy
film starring Bob Hope and Joan Fontaine, which is a
spoof of swashbuckling historical adventure films. It was directed by Nor-
man Z. McLeod. Hope plays a tailor who impersonates Giacomo Casanova,
the great lover. The film also stars Audrey Dalton, Basil Rathbone, Hugh
Marlowe, John Carradine, Hope Emerson, Lon Chaney, Jr., Raymond Burr,
Natalie Schafer, and Vincent Price (in a cameo appearance as the real
Casanova). Excellent color but some splices. $35.00
BEHIND THE MASK - 1958 – B/W - British drama film directed by Brian
Desmond Hurst and starring Michael Redgrave, Ian Bannen and Lionel Jeffries. It portrays the
life of a surgeon in a busy hospital. Redgrave's daughter, Vanessa Redgrave, made her film debut
in this movie. $50.00
IMPORTANCE OF BEING ERNEST – 1952 – B/W - Directed by Anthony Asquith. With
Michael Redgrave, Richard Wattis, Michael Denison, Walter Hudd. Circumstances compel
Ernest, whose real name is Jack Worthing, and Algernon Moncrieff to pretend to be someone that
they are not. Algernon uses the name Ernest to woo Jack's pretty young ward. 2 Spools:

tion of the novel of the same name by Max Shulman, directed by Leo
McCarey, starring Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward, and released by

20 Century Fox. The title comes from a line in the song "Battle Cry of
Freedom". Sadly film has turned reddish but print is clean. Worth it just for
the spools. $15.00
JANE EYRE – 1943 – B/W - How can Charlotte Brontë’s masterwork be
crammed into a time frame of just over an hour and a half? This feat of
compression was accomplished by Hollywood for the 1943 film. The film
was released at the end of 1943 in Britain, and had its American release of
