             After  splicing, it may be found more convenient to rewind the
           filrn  that  has  already  been  projected,  as  described  on  pages  28
           r ~nd 29,  then rethread the Kodascope  as  described on pages 7 to
           I  or pages 19 to 24, and continue projection.  Of com  e' the film
          . f,hat was already projected when the break occurred, will have to
           h  r  peated if the film  is rewound after splicing.

                        How to Use the Kodascope
                           Film Splicing Outfit
            The  Splicing  Outfit  contains  the  following  articles:  A  steel
           )ll  ·l  fitted  with eight registration  pins,  two guide  plates to  be
          11 H<1cl  when cutting and scraping the film, a  can of Kodascope Film
          <  \' IYI  nt, and an application bottle fitted with a  brush for apply-

          Ill  •·  Lhe  cement.  As  the  cement  evaporates  quite  rapidly  when
          I'·' p  ed  to the air,  use  only  a  small quantity in the application
           hoLLl  , and keep the can of  cement closed tightly.  There is also
          111<:luded  a  short  piec  of  film,  which  is  furnished  for practicing
          flllrpo. es.  Have a sharp knife handy before starting work.

            'l'h  ends  of  the  6lm  to  be  pliced  must  be in position so  that
          1.11  top  of the pictu r  in both pieces point in the same direction,
          :I H shown  in  Fig.  37.  The  end  of  the film  must be  kept in this
          n•ln,Lion to each other  throughout the process of splicing.  ·
