CENTURY 35mm PROJECTOR and SOUND

HEAD
With automatic lens and aperture changer

Removed in good working order from the Village Twin Doncaster, this projector
was manufactured in the early 1980’s. The projector is Century model LCAC
DAW. It is an A series head with double shutter for increased light output and has
a water cooling jacket in the head if required. It is fitted with a Century automatic
lens and aperture changer.

The sound head is Century model R3E and still retains its original exciter lamp
and is equipped with a Dolby stereo cell.

This projector was regularly serviced and for much of its life was under my
supervision. It would make an excellent projector to team with a platter or tower
system where automation is required. It would also be perfect for a home theatre
set-up.

Not many projectors come on the market with automatic lens changers at this
price. Whilst in good operating order when removed, it is sold “as is”. It does not
come with a base, but can be supported by most bases and console (lamphouse)
systems. The projector is now surplus to my needs.
