~LUB NOTES

        STRATHARN  FILM  PLAYERS.
          Secretary- Miss  H. Sutherland,  Burn  House,  Monzievaird,  Crieff.
          A  cordial  invitation  is  extended  to  all  cinematographers  in  the  Perth  and
        Perthshire  areas.  All  gauges  of  substandard  cinematograpby  are  catered  for,
        although  all  recent  productions  have  been shot on  9.5  mm  fil~."(  It is  of interest
        to  note  that in  1951  the  club  production  "Landslide"  received  an  award  in  the
        Scottish  Amateur  Film  Festival.  All  communications  should  be  sent  to  the
        Secretary address as above.
        WELLING AND DISTRICT  CINE CLUB.
          On  October  8th  1952  the  above  club  will  be  giving  a  display  of  ~mateur
        Cine  Equipment  at  the  Welling  Public  Library.  At  intervals  throughout  the
        evening  the  Club  will  be showing  their' own  local  newsreel.  A  cordial  invitation
        is  extended to all.  Doors  open 7.30  p.m.  Admission free.
        HARTLEPOOL  CINE  CLUB
          This  Club  restarted  activities  after  the  war  and  now  has  a  total  of  sixteen
        members.  All  productions  are  taken  on  9.5  mm  stock,  but  it  is  hoped  that
        sufficient  members will  be  enrolled  to  enable  the  Club  to form  groups  catering
        for all  three substandard gauges.
          The  biggest task  to  date  has  been  the  production  of a  newsreel  covering  the
        Hartlepools  Charter  Week.  It  has  taken  six  months  to  complete  and  runs  to
        950  ft.  of  film.  A  tape  recording  has  also  been  provided.  The  current  pro-
        duction is  "The Sixth  Commandment."
          New  members  are  very  welcome  and  all  interested  should  a.pply  to  Mr.  K.
        Jewson, 69  Chatham  Road, West Hartlepool, Co. Durham.
        DEWSBURY  &  DISTRICT  A.C.S.
          Membership  of the  above  Society  is  open  to  anyone  interested  in  cinemato-
        graphy  as  a  hobby.   MeeHngs  are  held  on  each  alternate  Monday.   Those

        ENFIELD  NINE  FIVE  AMATEUR  CINE CLUB.

          CLUB  PRODUCTION. Shooting is  now in  progress for the first club  production
        and  it is  hoped  to  be  ready for  editing  and  titling during  October.
        CLUB  ROOM.  At the time of writing the decoration of the clubroom is  nearing
        completion  and  it is  intended  to arrange regular weekly  programmes in  the  near
        future.
        CINE  ARTISTS.   A  cine  society  -  The  Cine  Artists  -  has  recently  been
        formed  in  the  Keighley,  Yorks  area,  and  is  composed  entirely  of  young  people
        under  the  age  of  21.  A  cordial  invitation  is  extended  to all  other  youngsters
        who  may  wish  to  join  this  Society  and  applications  for  membership  should  be
        addressed  to the  Secretary:- Mr.  D.  S.  Collett,  7  Rock  Street,  "East",  Wood-
        house,  Keighley,  Yorks.
