MISSING REELS OR SEGMENTS

Most film collectors probably have a few odd reels of film laying about - if my
collection is any guide, then there are probably quite few incomplete films out there
- somewhere along the line, a reel has become separated from the rest of the film,
or even worse some unscrupulous person has nicked a particularly good segment
out of the film - this is unfortunately often the case with music items!
I intend to run this page on a regular basis - provided it gets enough support - in the
hope that we can put a few features back together - your support is essential!

To start the ball rolling here are two “wanteds” to replace missing segments….

From Alan Vogt

My 16mm silent Rin Tin Tin movie, "Where North Begins"
(1923), unfortunately has an 8 minute segment missing
3/4 of the way through. Does any one have a copy of this
film or any extracts from it?

I have a 35mm nitrate copy of the Bing Crosby feature
“Welcome Stranger” (1947). It has the final few minutes
missing. Does anyone have a spare last reel or the last few
minutes of this film?
