        •• T~ ke Time to Take Cat•e '!!~

The great Coronation rush is over and life once again assumes its normal
easy going routine, but the impact of such an event and the impressions it has
created, are, at the moment most clear and vivid in our minds. Even in a few
years time perhaps, these memories will not have been dimmed by the passing
events of the world around us-but will that happy .position be the same in say
ten or twenty years time ? Will all the brilliance and pageantry of that mom-
entous occasion still be as clear as the day it was seen ? It is to be doubted,
since by that time, other events, many of world importance, will have taken
place and clouded the mind as to happenings of previous years. It is essential
that some medium, some other aid, be employed to assist in fashioning again
the spirit and feelings of that historic moment. Such a medium does exist-
a medium which is now within easy reach of all. In other words home cine-
matography-Pathescope Home Cinematography. Many thousands of keen
enthusiasts availed themselves of this opportunity and produced for themselves,
a permanent and ever living record of the pageantry and history of
         the Coronation.
As with an event of such magnitude so it is with your own personal cine
films. Records made to-day of the family, friends, holidays, the pets and the
host of other events which form our daily lives-happenings which are present
for only a comparatively short period in our span of life - all these may be
shown again and again in the years ahead. Such records never fail to bring
back those memories which have become obscured with the passage of time.
It is one thing to say "Do you remember that holiday at so and so"; it is
another and far pleasanter thing to say "Look, that's when we were on holiday
at so and so". These records are permanent both physically and in their con-
tent matter and lose nothing of the sparkle and animation of the time they
         were taken.
It can clearly be seen that the cine film record is the only method wl1ich
can be relied upon fully for authenticity. It is not necessarily an expensive
method as the announcement on pages 8 and 9 will show. The human factor
alone is the only one item over which we have no control. The tools are there
for your use, the events and happenings are present every day. You can
produce the final finished result for screening, but here we would add one word
of advice, "Take Time to Take Care". So many films are ruined by failing to
observe this small point. A few moments thought before setting the camera
in motion can prevent those disappointed results and, incidentally save money
on spoiled film. Remember, opportunity only knocks once-don't spoil what
would be a .perfect cine record by not taking the time to take care.
