Check the size. of t.he upper loop 27 and the lower loop 28, they
should be the same siz as shown in Figs. 13 and 14. To change
Lhe size of the upper loop, slide the film up or down in the gate.
To adjust the I wer loop it will be necessary to again open the
lower clamp 16 and move the film to the right or left until the
loop is the correct size. Before closing the clamp see that the
sprocket teeth arc in the film perforations.
Thread the end of film in slot in the core of the take-up reel13,
as in Fig. 13. Wind up on the take-up reel any slack that there
may be in the film between the sprocket and reel core by rotating
the take-up reel in the direction shown by the arrow 29, on the
Kodascope.
When the Kodascope is completely threaded, turn the knob 30,
l~'ig. 13, a few times in the direction indicated by the arrow on it,
Losee that the film is threaded correctly, and that the claws of the
pull-down 58, Fig. 26, page 32, engage with the film perforations.
