                          Olinda  Film  Festival

            Further  details  are  to  hand  of  the  Olinda  Film  Festival,  to  be  held  at  Olinda
                  over  Australia  Day  week-end,  25th  to  28th  January,  1952.
             Apart  from  the  formation  of  a  federation  and  its  ru les,  duties,  functions,  etc.,
         1 he  following  agenda  items  have  been  suggested:-
              (a)  Co-ordination  of  competition  dates  between  various  societies.
              (b)  A  clear  definition  of  the  amateur  code,  as  applied  to  amateur  competi-
                 tion  films.
              (c)  The  exchange  of  film  programmes  within  the  various  societies.
              (d)  The  importance  of  amateur  cine  societies  taking  their  places  in  the
                 cu ltural  activities  of  their  respective  cities  by  large-scale  public  screenings
                 of  their  best  productions.
