When rewinding a reel of film, place the full reel orr Lh left;
bracket with the square opening in the reel against thr HLartdard.
Place the empty reel on the right bracket with the squar<' h le of
the reel next to the standard. Push in the reels until t.l11• Hprings
on the spindles snap into position. Thread the end of Lhe film
into the slot in the core of the empty reel, then turn Lh<· urn,nk to
the left in the direction indicated by the arrow on the ri ,.II t, hand
standard. The other arrow in the illustration, Fig. 24, i nd.icates
the direction in which the film travels. Use the left lr:Lncl as a
brake on the full reel so that the film will not unwind !,oc • 1"111 idly,
but do not use too much pressure or the film will " r~ i r w h " and
produce scratches. Allow the film to run freely.
The film is properly rewound when the back or shi ny ide is
towards the center of the reel with the pictures u pHi rl !own.
Duplicate films are now made so that the dull side musL ho towards
the center of the supply reel.
A splicing block and application bottle with brush for splicing
film, are included with the Kodascope Rewind. Full inHI,ru tions
