Cleaning the Gate
Each time that the Kodascope is used, it is necessary Lo first
clean the tracks of the gate which guide the film as it paH::;cs the
lens.

To open the gate 26, Fig. 28, for cleaning, first pull Lli() pin 19,
Fig. 26, page 32, towards you, then swing up the lens C<'ll 3 to the
position shown in Fig. 28. Do not lock the lens cell in Lhc raised
position, as shown in Fig. 1, page 5, or the loop guides cannot be
opened. Open the loop guides 20 and 21 by pushing th loop guide
control lever 22 to the word "RUN." Raise the gaLe 26 by
its end, as shown in Fig. 28. Clean the tracks of the gat , also the
frame around the pull-down mechanism, with a clean cloth.
