~ ,...~ Cine Club has been authorised by the
't Southland Centennial (1956) Car
Reliability Trial Committee to expose
3,600 ft. of Black & White film on
the Trial which is to take place in
January 1956.
The film unit will be split up into two cars which will be
specially adapted to accommodate two cine cameras mounted
near the windscreens. Large posters will be displayed on
either side of the vehicles advertising the Club's film unit
and the 9.5.mm. equipment which they will be using.
The route of the Trial will take them all over the South
Island and therefore it is hoped that over a very wide area
considerable interest will be aroused in the activities of this
go ahead club.
AUSTRALIAN 9.5. MOVIE CLUB
The members of the Australian 9.5 Movie Club have
recently established themselves in new club rooms at 100,
Clarence Street, City, Sydney.
The first night in the new premises was devoted to a pro-
gramme of 9.5mm. sound films. Charlie Chaplin in "Comedy
Cocktail" and the feature film "South of Panama" were among
the evening's highlights.
Earlier this year, the screening of the A.C.W.'s Ten Best
took place giving members an opportunity to see and adjudge
the standard of amateur productions in Gt. Britain.
Always ready to welcome new members, the club has an
interesting programme ahead of them.
SOUTH AFRICA
I am an engineering student at the University of Stellen-
bosch. My cine equipment consists of a Gem projector and
Pathe H motocamera. I am sure that you will be glad to know
that 9.5mm. has keen supporters in South Africa.
I should like to contact other 9.5mm. users in other parts
of the world of my own age, 18 years, especially with the
view to exchanging "film-letters".- C. VILJOEN, John Murray
House, Stellenbosch, S. Africa.
